Tory Lanez’s bail increased for violating Megan Thee Stallion’s restraining order

A judge has increased Tory Lanez’s bail for violating a protective order granted to Megan Thee Stallion after he appeared on the Rolling Loud stage in Miami last month shortly after her performance.  After being arrested and subsequently charged for felony assault over an incident where he was accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion on her leg in July 2020, Tory Lanez was issued a protective order. At the time, a judge required Lanez to refrain from contacting or coming within 100 yards of Megan. During a court appearance on Monday, August 23, a judge ordered Lanez to pay additional bail, saying he violated the protective order during his appearance at DaBaby’s Rolling Loud Miami set. His bail was increased to $250,000 from $190,000. This comes after prosecutors filed a motion earlier this month requesting that the judge either increase his bail or revoke it since he was allegedly within 100 yards of Megan when he made a surprise appearance during DaBaby’s controversial set.  Lanez is also prohibited from attending any events where the Houston rapper will be present.  The judge made it clear that this is his last warning as another violation will result in Tory being remanded into custody. “You’re facing years in prison, over 22 years in prison,” Judge Keith Borjon told Lanez in court today. “They could have filed an additional charge based on violating the protective order because that’s a violation of law as well. You do not want to be doing things like this sir. You have the means and the where with all and a lot of smart people around you to advise you as to how you should be conducting your life so we don’t have to have hearings like this.”
