Tonto Dikeh has recounted a powerful moment from her faith journey, sharing how she prayed for a schoolgirl she sensed was under a “spirit of death” during a recent evangelism outreach
In a video posted on her Instagram on Friday, Dikeh explained that the experience occurred shortly after she and her team concluded their outreach at a school. She said she felt a troubling spiritual presence in the area, prompting immediate prayer.
“Today, God allowed me to see a glimpse of the ministry He has placed upon my life. I was delivered from the marine world so that I may become an instrument in His hands to deliver others,” she wrote.
She described how, while leaving the school, she sensed a spirit of death around the environment. She shared her concerns with her team, and they began praying. Within minutes, a young girl approached Dikeh, asking for prayer after revealing that she had been repeatedly seeing bats around her.
The actress said their prayers brought spiritual breakthrough. “The Holy Spirit took over. The presence and glory of God filled that moment. The spirit of death was confronted, the demonic attack was broken, and God’s power brought deliverance. She was also one of the students who had given her life to Christ earlier, which made the work of God even more powerful and timely. My team and I will continue following up with her as the Lord works in her life,” Dikeh added.
Tonto, who recently stated she prefers to be recognized as an evangelist rather than “King Tonto Dikeh,” said the experience was just the beginning of what God is doing through her ministry. She also expressed gratitude to her spiritual mentors, Jerry Eze and Eno Jerry, for their guidance and prayers.
God is only just beginning with us as a team. As the Word says: ‘Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him,’” she wrote.
She praised her mentors for raising “radical soldiers for God” and for their role in blessing the materials used during the outreach. “God truly went before us, made a name for Himself, and His glory was revealed in our midst,” she said.
Dikeh concluded by noting the outreach had a profound spiritual impact, with over 100 students reportedly giving their lives to Christ. “All we can say is: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for everything You did today. God is reclaiming what belongs to Him — THE WORLD.”
