Popular Nigerian cleric, Rev. Kesiena Esiri, has stirred controversy online after criticizing Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage for what he described as a lifestyle that promotes immorality.
In a video making rounds on social media, the outspoken pastor questioned Tiwa’s chances of making it to heaven, accusing her of using her platform to “promote lust” through revealing outfits and sensual performances.
“Somebody who thinks that her life’s assignment is to dress half naked and promote immorality — and you think God will make excuses?” he stated.
Esiri posed a rhetorical question to his viewers:
“When we get to heaven, what will be your excuse?”
