Music executive Teebillz is giving flowers while they’re due—this time to veteran rapper and producer Eldee the Don.
In a recent Instagram post, Teebillz referred to Eldee as “the pioneer and visionary of Afrobeats,” thanking him for the structure he helped create and for teaching the business side of music to others in the game.
He also gave a nod to Akon for helping push the genre globally, but humorously added, “I no think say u know road to Alaba market or met TJoe & Obino…”—a playful reminder of the grassroots foundation laid by Nigerian OGs before the international spotlight.
It’s a moment of acknowledgment many fans agree was long overdue.
