Tammy Abraham has become the first England player to confirm he is fully-vaccinated. There are growing concerns from within English football over the slow vaccine uptake rate among top-flight players, an issue Sportsmail has highlighted extensively in recent weeks. A number of players declined to divulge whether they had been double-jabbed on Wednesday and were guarded about the issue, insisting it was a personal and private matter. But Abraham has confirmed he has taken both jabs, saying: ‘It is a personal choice. People are entitled to do what they want to do with their bodies. For me it was a different situation. I am vaccinated. That is a personal choice. ‘I have contracted the virus before, I am in Italy and for me it is the right thing to do.’
