Singers, Portable and Speed Darlington are set to take their rivalry into the boxing ring after a heated exchange online.
The feud began when Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his upcoming show on April 13, 2025. However, Portable declined, demanding a performance fee of N20 million and questioning whether Speed Darlington could afford it.
In response, Speed Darlington accused Portable of insulting his mother, escalating tensions between the two artists.
The situation took another turn when Portable challenged Speed Darlington to a boxing match, sharing a video in which he mocked his opponent and encouraged fans to place bets on the fight.
A newly surfaced video online shows both artists preparing for the anticipated showdown. Portable can be seen training intensely, while Speed Darlington is spotted with his trainer, discussing strategies ahead of the match.
In the clip, Speed Darlington, also known as “Akpi,” boasts about his training, stating:
“Irregular speedometer, Scorpion King. Akpi, I’m here with my trainer, a shepherd. My enemy, get ready! I’m being trained by the best in Nigeria—35th, or is it 36th? 36th in the whole world. His trainer also weighs in, warning Portable:
“Portable, let me tell you something. I’m going to train him to stop you in two rounds. Otiku!”
