Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has married his Moroccan partner, Nana Bensouna, in a private nikkah ceremony in Manchester, United Kingdom
The intimate event was attended by close family members, including the groom’s parents, Otunba and Yeye Jagunmola Dele and Dupe Bashiru-Kaka, as well as the bride’s parents, Mr and Mrs Bensouna.
The couple, who have kept their relationship low-profile, chose a quiet celebration surrounded by loved ones.
The wedding coincides with an important phase in Dele-Bashiru’s career as he prepares for an expanded role at Lazio under manager Maurizio Sarri. The 23-year-old impressed during pre-season matches against Avellino and Fenerbahce, earning high praise from Sarri.
“Dele-Bashiru is a very strong guy who, if he manages to learn a few moves, can give us a big hand. I have heard good things about him from professionals outside of Lazio — sporting directors from other clubs. Probably he has some qualities, evidently,” Sarri told Pazzidifanta.
