The Super Eagles of Nigeria have secured a 2–1 victory over the Black Stars of Ghana.
This night’s victory takes them to the final of the Unity Cup in London.
Cyriel Dessers gave Nigeria the lead in the 14th minute with a composed finish, following a well-placed assist from Sodiq Ismail.
Just five minutes later, the Eagles doubled their advantage after Ghana’s Razak Simpson mistakenly turned the ball into his own net.
Nigeria dominated the first half, with Ghana failing to register a single shot on target.
In the second half, Ghana improved their performance, and substitute Brandon Asante-Thomas pulled one back in the 70th minute. However, it wasn’t enough to deny us the win in the highly anticipated “Jollof Derby.”
With this victory, the Super Eagles will now face Jamaica in the Unity Cup final on Saturday.
The Reggae Boyz earned their spot after defeating Trinidad and Tobago 3–2 on Tuesday.
