The Premier League’s independent commission will begin hearing Manchester City’s 115 alleged financial fair play rule violations on Monday.
The charges span a nine-year period, from 2009 to 2018, during which City won three Premier League titles.
City denies all charges, including failing to disclose accurate financial information, secret contracts, and non-compliance with UEFA’s financial fair play rules.
The hearing is expected to last up to two months, with a decision potentially delayed until March or later due to the complexity of the case.
Any punishment could range from a points deduction to expulsion from the Premier League, although the latter is considered extreme.
City has expressed surprise at the charges and provided extensive evidence to support their position.
Manager Pep Guardiola has expressed confidence in City’s innocence and hopes for a swift conclusion to the hearing.
