Kizz Daniel denies reports of Court freezing his bank accounts

Singer Kizz Daniel has dismissed reports alleging that a court ordered the freezing of his personal and business bank accounts over a contractual dispute

The speculation, which circulated widely across blogs and social media on Wednesday, claimed that the singer’s accounts had been frozen following a legal battle.

Responding on Instagram, Kizz Daniel’s management released a statement debunking the reports as “false and malicious,” accusing those behind the narrative of trying to tarnish the singer’s reputation.

“Our Artist is a professional who honours his contractual obligations and goes above and beyond to ensure fans all over the world enjoy his performances,” the statement read.

Clarifying the dispute, the management explained that Kizz Daniel was booked to perform at the “Afrobeats Meets Berlin” concert scheduled for September 24, 2022, under a duly signed agreement dated July 27, 2022. They claimed the promoter, Kejuro Media & Entertainment, failed to meet key obligations — including securing visas and flights for the artist and his team — which led to the show’s cancellation.

They emphasized that any potential rescheduling would require fresh terms, adding that the contract entitled them to full payment since the breach came from the promoter’s side.

The controversy is linked to the cancelled Berlin concert in 2022, where the promoters accused Kizz Daniel of keeping a $50,000 performance fee. While some reports alleged a German court awarded $200,000 in damages against him, his team maintains that no court has ordered the freezing of his accounts.

Kizz Daniel has previously faced public scrutiny over event cancellations, including a high-profile incident in 2022 when he was briefly arrested in Tanzania for missing a scheduled performance.
