In a conversation with Coco Jones for Rolling Stone’s “Musicians on Musicians,” Ayra Starr expressed gratitude for not dating before her rise to fame, allowing her to focus on her career and establish high standards.

“I’m grateful I didn’t date before music,” she said. “Now, I have very high expectations. If someone can’t meet them, it’s goodbye. Plus, with my busy schedule, I barely have time for myself, let alone a relationship.”
