Arsenal’s new signing Eberechi Eze has promised to give his best for the Gunners following his high-profile move from Crystal Palace in August.
The England international joined Arsenal after they beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur to his signature, and he has already made an impact by starting in England’s 2-0 win over Andorra at Villa Park in a 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Speaking with Independent, Eze expressed his excitement about joining the North London club and insisted he was never worried about whether Arsenal would make a move for him.
“Worried? No. Because I play football. That’s what I do, and wherever I am, I want to be the best I can be. I’m confident I’ll do that wherever I am,” Eze said.
“I’m grateful that it’s Arsenal and that I’ve got the opportunity to play there and do what I do. I was just taking it all in, looking at the crowd and enjoying the moment. It was more special for my family, seeing what it meant to them.”
Eze added that his focus is now on working hard and making an impact on the pitch.
“I’m excited to play, to do my thing, to work hard and apply myself. There’s been a lot of noise off the pitch but I just want to get down and play. Not everyone gets to experience these moments, so I try to enjoy them and take them in my stride. There’s always another challenge coming, and that’s how I see it.”
