I will leave the marriage if my wife stresses me — Timaya

Timaya has opened up about his decision to remain unmarried despite his success in the music industry.

In a recent interview with Naija FM, the hitmaker discussed his views on marriage, stating that it has never been a priority for him, though he remains open to the idea in the future.

“I’ve never been a married guy, but that could change because marriage ‘dey craze.’ I just think, if I marry today, would I be able to get out? In all my previous relationships, I was the one who walked away because I don’t like stress,” Timaya explained.

He shared that his reluctance to marry is rooted in his desire for personal freedom and his aversion to unnecessary stress. For him, communication and transparency are key in any relationship.

“If you have an issue with me, let’s talk about it. I don’t like going to bed with problems; it stresses me out. I can’t stand anything that bothers me,” he added.

On fatherhood, Timaya revealed that although his children live with their mothers, he maintains a close relationship with them. He spoke about the joys and challenges of being a father and how he enjoys spending quality time with his kids.

“My kids come to spend time with me, and I cherish those moments. Even though I’m not romantically involved with their mothers, we all maintain a respectful and familial bond,” he said.
