Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has shared how he waited longer to take a memorable selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo following Napoli’s 1–0 victory over Juventus in February 2021.
In an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Osimhen revealed that it took a full hour of waiting to finally get the photo with the Portuguese legend.
“I said to him, ‘Chris, I’d like to take a picture with you.’ He said, ‘Yeah, come to the dressing room,’” Osimhen recounted.
He said Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon saw him waiting and asked what he was doing there. After Osimhen explained, Buffon led him to the gym where Ronaldo was working out
“Buffon told me Ronaldo was still working out and asked me to sit with him. We waited for almost 30 minutes, and Ronaldo still wasn’t out. I ended up waiting for an hour,” Osimhen said.
The Nigerian forward added that when Ronaldo finally emerged, his physical condition was astonishing.

“Look at the laps and the veins—you’d think he was 25 years old at that time,” Osimhen said.
According to him, Ronaldo praised his performance, saying, “Great game, just keep on going,” before shaking his hand.
Ronaldo, now 40, is expected to sign a new deal with Saudi club Al-Nassr as his current contract nears expiration. Meanwhile, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain following the end of his loan spell with Galatasaray.
