Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede recently shared a touching Mother’s Day moment that left her emotional and reflective about motherhood.
The actress revealed that she attended church for the first time in a long while after her son personally invited her.
According to her, the sincerity in his request made it impossible for her to say no.
The experience turned out to be deeply moving for the actress, who admitted she became emotional during the moment.
“Went to church for the first time in a long time because my son invited me to church. Immediately, I saw the seriousness in his invitation, and I knew I had to go.
Oh my, he made me so proud I shed tears. I know he’s not one to be shy because he’s a true son of mine, but this made me see myself differently.
I’m grateful for life, grateful to be a mother to celebrate today, grateful for having such a gift.
Happy Mother’s Day to me”.
Reflecting further on motherhood and family, Jegede shared that despite life’s challenges, returning home to loved ones makes everything worthwhile.
“No matter how tough it is, no matter how much the world tries to weigh you down, the best thing about life is whenever you get home to your family, everything is just worth it.
Happy Mother’s Day to every mother out there making the world a safe space”.
