Afrobeats artiste, Ayra Starr has revealed that she doesn’t want her mother to hear the second verse of her latest collaboration with Wizkid, “Gimme Dat,” particularly the part where she commands a man to allow her to “survey” his private parts.

Ayra Starr addresses how many men watch her for the wrong reasons but asserts her ability to turn that attention into power.

“So many people wan lick my stew, so baby chill make I survey your tools… and if I handle your 2 by 2, you fit to scream, you go lose your cool,” she sings.

The verse sparked mixed reactions, with some listeners praising her boldness and creativity, while others criticized the lyrics for being too explicit.

Ayra Starr later took to her X account, expressing hope that her mother would never hear the verse, writing, “Hopefully my mom never listens to my second verse.”
