Cameroonian legendary footballer, Samuel Eto’o Fils, snapped at a journalist who inquired about how it felt to play with Argentine football Maestro Lionel Messi at Barcelona.

Samuel Eto’o, a prolific striker, played alongside Lionel Messi at Barcelona, although Messi joined him at the senior level of the club as an established player.

According to the Mirror, in a recent interview, a journalist asked the ex-Indomitable Lion a question that revolved around playing with Messi and the goal poacher wasn’t so cool with the word used.

The journalist asked:

You talk about Messi, what can [Ansu Fati] learn from Messi? You obviously played with him.

Responding to the journalist, Eto’o snapped back saying:

No. He played with me; it is different. Messi played with me. I did not play with Messi. In my time, Messi played with me. It is totally different. It is totally different.

Former Barca coach Frank Rijkaard brought Eto’o to Barcelona from Real Mallorca in 2014. Eto’o scored a total of 130 goals out of the 199 matches he played for Barcelona, most of which he played with Brazilian football magician Ronaldinho and French winger Ludovic Guily, with Messi joining the squad later.
