Hollywood Director and actor, Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele have been found de.ad at their Los Angeles home

Authorities are treating the case as an apparent homicide after police and firefighters responded to a call at the couple’s residence on Sunday afternoon in the upscale Brentwood neighbourhood.

Reiner, 78, was renowned for directing iconic films such as The Princess Bride, This Is Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, and A Few Good Men. Michele Reiner was 68.

Police confirmed that both individuals were pronounced de.ad at the scene but did not immediately release their identities or provide details on the circumstances of their de.aths. No arrests have been made, and authorities said no suspects are currently being sought.

The Los Angeles Fire Department received a call for medical assistance at approximately 3:38 p.m. local time. Robbery-homicide detectives also responded and have launched a homicide investigation.

Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton also confirmed that both bodies remained inside the home more than six hours after first responders arrived. He declined to provide details about injuries or any potential weapons, noting that the cause of de.ath will be determined by the Los Angeles coroner’s office.
