
Frank Lampard has agreed to make a stunning return as Chelsea manager for the rest of the season following an extraordinary day on which the club also held talks with Luis Enrique about taking over in the summer.
The former Spain coach is one of four candidates to succeed Graham Potter on a permanent basis, and Lampard has been asked to take charge of the club who sacked him two years ago on a caretaker basis.
He attended Chelsea’s goalless draw with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday as a guest of the club’s majority shareholder Behdad Eghbali.
