Popular artist Omah Lay has expressed his admiration for Afrobeats star Davido, calling him a “legend.”
In a recent interview with The Baller Alert, Omah Lay revealed that he and Davido have an exciting new collaboration on the way, stirring excitement among fans.
“Actually, we have a song, and it’s coming out soon. I am very excited about the record because it’s something I never imagined would be this great and cool,” Omah Lay said.
He highlighted how well they connected during the creative process, describing Davido as an amazing person.
“The way we got along and made the record is so cool, and Davido is also an amazing person,” he added.
Omah Lay also praised Davido’s role in Afrobeats’ rising popularity in the U.S., saying, “Davido is a legend. He is big, big,” and credited him with helping Nigerian music gain global recognition.
This collaboration comes after Omah Lay hinted at some past tension with Davido but chose not to delve into details.
While the song’s title is still under wraps, it is expected to drop soon, ahead of Omah Lay’s highly anticipated second album, which he had to restart after another artist took his original idea.
