Actress Bimbo Ademoye has announced that her movie To Be a Friend (T.B.A.F) has been taken down from YouTube due to a copyright dispute involving the soundtrack.

In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram, the 34-year-old shared the disappointing news, revealing that the film had already garnered close to six million views before its removal.

“This isn’t the kind of message I hoped to share, but sometimes life throws curveballs,” Bimbo said. “Yes, To Be a Friend is no longer available on the channel. It’s unfortunate, but we ran into a copyright issue concerning the music used. No, we didn’t cut corners, and yes, we used the right channel—but here we are.

Though she refrained from going into full detail, Bimbo hinted that she may speak more openly about the situation in the future. For now, she’s focusing on moving forward.

“There’s a chance we’ll have to re-upload the movie,” she continued. “That might mean starting again from scratch, which isn’t easy after almost six million views. But it is what it is.”

Bimbo appealed to her fans to rally behind the film once it returns online.

“If we have to start afresh, I’ll need your help more than ever—please watch, like, share, subscribe, repost, and tell your people. I can’t do this alone,” she pleaded.

Reflecting on the setback, she remained hopeful. “Will we hit six million views again? I don’t know. Will we exceed it? I don’t know. But God remains God. He’s on the throne, and He’s got us.”

She concluded by thanking her audience for their unwavering love and support, writing in the caption: “Not easily broken.”

To Be a Friend, which premiered in July, stars Bimbo Ademoye alongside Uzor Arukwe, Deyemi Okanlawon, and Kunle Remi.
