Arsenal have completed the signing of 27-year-old England international Eberechi Eze, who returns to north London, where his football journey began in the club’s academy before emerging as one of the Premier League’s most dynamic attacking talents.
Eze joined Queens Park Rangers in 2016 and broke through in the 2019/20 season, earning QPR’s Player of the Year award.
He moved to Crystal Palace in 2020, making over 150 appearances across five seasons. His standout moment came in May when he scored the winning goal in the Eagles’ historic FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City.
Internationally, Eze has represented England at youth levels before making his senior debut in 2023. He has since earned 11 caps and was part of the Euro 2024 squad. In March, he scored his first senior international goal during a 3-0 World Cup 2026 qualifying win over Latvia.
Sporting Director Andrea Berta said: “We are thrilled to bring Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a creative and explosive talent with immense technical ability and a proven big-game player. His experience with England at the international level further highlights his quality and character. The teamwork across the club to make this transfer happen has been outstanding, and we are confident he will be an important addition as we continue to build for success.”
Manager Mikel Arteta added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Eberechi. He is a powerful, exciting player who will add a new dimension to our attacking play. Beyond his talent and intelligence, his hard work, mentality, and ambition stand out. It’s clear how much joining Arsenal means to him and his family, and we look forward to working with him soon.”
Eze will wear the number 10 shirt and will link up with his new teammates following this weekend’s match against Leeds United.
