Arsenal secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over Leicester City on a sunny Saturday afternoon in North London, capitalizing on Manchester City’s earlier draw at Newcastle United.
The Gunners dominated early, with Bukayo Saka testing Leicester keeper Mads Hermansen in the 14th minute.
Moments later, Saka sent Gabi Martinelli through, but the Brazilian attacker missed.
Martinelli redeemed himself in the 20th minute, steering home Jurrien Timber’s cross for the opener. Leandro Trossard doubled the lead before halftime.
However, Leicester’s Justin James scored two exceptional goals, including a spectacular volley past David Raya, to level the match.
Just as Leicester hoped for a draw, Arsenal showcased their quality with two late goals, sealing the win.
The win propels Arsenal up the table, taking advantage of Manchester City’s slip-up.
