John Corbett and longtime girlfriend Bo Derek secretly got married last year. The actor, 60, shared the news while on The Talk on Tuesday, August 3. He said that he has already wed the 64-year-old actress who is best known as the exotic beach beauty from the 1979 film 10. “Around Christmas time, we got married. Bo and I got married,” Corbett said. We got married, and this is probably the first time – we’re pretty private people, we didn’t make an announcement,” added the actor. “All our friends and family knew. But this is the first time either one of us have said something publicly about it, because really we haven’t had the opportunity. After 20 years we decided to get married. We didn’t want 2020 to be that thing that everyone looks back at and hated… let’s get one nice thing out of it.” In August 2020 Derek revealed why she and Corbett had not yet wed. She told Fox News: “I think when you’re beginning a young family and you’re going to have children and set up this new family tree branch, it’s obviously a wonderful commitment and it’s meaningful. She added: “But for us in our lives, it hasn’t been yet.” Bo Derek said that before she met John Corbett, she thought she would never find love again, having lost her husband John Derek to heart failure in 1998. However, she explained that when she met Corbett she felt “just an attraction, a comfort. He makes me laugh all the time. He’s full of life, full of joy.”
