Africans taught Europeans how to Bathe – Seun Kuti Says

Seun Kuti, a renowned Afrobeat musician, made a revelation stating that Africans were the ones who taught Europeans the importance of daily bathing.

On the podcast of Fresh off the boat, be claimed that prior to this, Queen Elizabeth I would bathe only once a month, setting an example for her subjects to prioritize cleanliness.

Kuti emphasized that the concept of bathhouses originated in Africa, and it’s a shame that many Africans are unaware of their ancestors’ contributions to this aspect of hygiene.

He encouraged listeners to learn European history, which reveals that Africans introduced the British to regular bathing practices, a habit they didn’t previously practice.
