It’s not yet Valentine’s Day but love is already in the air for actor Idris Elba and his beauty queen girlfriend—and now fiancée, Sabrina Dhowre.
The proposal took place Saturday morning at the screening of Elba’s new film, Yardie, at the Rio cinema in east London.
Elba then went down on one knee to the amazement of many, and proposed to Dhowre who of course, agreed to marry him.
Elba and Dhowre met while he was shooting a film in Canada. started dating in 2017.
Dhowre is a 29-year-old former Miss Vancouver and a model of Somali descent.
Elba, 45, has been married twice before; to Hanne Norgaard from 1999 to 2003 and to Sonya Nicole Hanklin in 2006.
The special moment was captured on video by David Marsden of Sainou Talent Agency, who was present for the movie screening.
