Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has rewarded Remo Stars Football Club with a generous cash gift of N10 million following their remarkable victory in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Remo Stars made history by becoming the first privately-owned club to win the NPFL title since Julius Berger in 2000, securing the championship with a 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes.
In recognition of their achievement, Osimhen donated N5 million to the players and another ₦5 million to the technical crew. The gesture highlights his continued support for grassroots and domestic football in Nigeria.
Osimhen, who has often spoken about giving back to the game and supporting the growth of Nigerian football, said the donation was his way of encouraging excellence and celebrating Remo Stars’ milestone.
The Napoli striker’s act of generosity has been widely praised by fans and stakeholders in the Nigerian football community.
