Taylor Swift has reportedly taken legal action against Kanye West following a string of explicit and false claims he made about her on social media.
According to reports, the rapper made sexually suggestive and unverified remarks involving Swift, Harry Styles, and Justin Bieber. In response, Swift’s legal team sent a cease and desist letter demanding an immediate stop to what they described as “defamatory and harassing” behavior.
A source close to Swift stated, “This isn’t just Kanye gossiping. This is Kanye sexually harassing a woman, slandering her, and trying to damage her career.”
The allegations have caused a wave of backlash online, with fans and critics alike condemning West’s actions as misogynistic and harmful. Swift’s partner, NFL star Travis Kelce, is said to be furious over the situation, though he has not made a public statement.
This legal move adds to the ongoing history of tension between Swift and West, dating back to his infamous interruption at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and reignited by the controversial lyrics in his 2016 track Famous.
As of now, Kanye West or his team have not publicly responded to the cease and desist.
