Seattle Seahawks win Super Bowl LX with 29-13 win over Patriots

The Seattle Seahawks are world champions!

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl on Sunday night, capturing the title for the second time in the team’s history.

The Seahawks were the clear favorites going into the game as they cruised to a 29-13 victory at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Their defense, which had performed well all season, forced three turnovers throughout the game. The Patriots, meanwhile, didn’t score until the fourth quarter.

The Seahawks last won the Super Bowl, the franchise’s first, in 2014 when they defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl 48.

After Super Bowl 60, Kenneth Walker III was crowned MVP, becoming the first running back to win the title since Terrell Davis for the Broncos 28 years ago. Walker rushed for 135 yards, one of the standout offensive performances in the game.

“It’s just a dream come true because a lot of people play their whole career and never make it this far,” Walker said after the game. “We went through adversity throughout the season, but we stayed together. You know that adversity showed who we were as a team. We got a brotherhood going on right now, and it’s special.”

Kicker Jason Myers also drilled a record five field goals, one of the most memorable kicking performances in Super Bowl history.

“We never waver, man. We believe in each other. We love each other, and now we’re world champions,” coach Mike Macdonald said.
