Nigerian parents don’t scold bread winners – Rema

Rema has shared an observation about Nigerian parents, stating that they tend to be more lenient with children who contribute financially to the family.

During a conversation with content creator Enzo, Rema advised Enzo to focus on hustling and becoming financially successful, implying that this would give him more freedom with his parents.

Rema drew from his own experience as a breadwinner from a young age after losing his father, having made his first million at 17 and given it to his mother.

The conversation goes:

Enzo: “My mum won’t let me get a tattoo. The time I did braids, she didn’t talk to me for days. It was bad.”
