Billboard has officially crowned Nicki Minaj as the greatest female rapper of all time.
The newly released list, compiled by Billboard’s editorial team, highlights iconic women in hip-hop, with Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, and Queen Latifah also making prominent appearances.
In a twist that surprised many fans, Minaj’s well-known competitors Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion were placed outside the top 10.
Minaj secured the number one spot, followed by Missy Elliott at #2, Lauryn Hill at #3, Lil’ Kim at #4, and Queen Latifah rounding out the top five.
The rest of the top 10 featured influential names like MC Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, Roxanne Shanté, Eve, and Foxy Brown.
Cardi B landed at #11, while Megan Thee Stallion was listed at #15.
Despite her dominance and cultural impact, Nicki Minaj has never won a Grammy—unlike Cardi B and Megan, who have both received the coveted award in rap categories.
