We have paid our dues and we are no fools, so we need to be celebrated and not tolerated,” Alariwo said. “I go to where I am celebrated, we need to be celebrated, we have paid our dues. We were doing it for the love, not the monetary gain, I remember back then how much were we collecting for a show? We were doing it for the love, we were doing it for the passion”. He added: “I remember back then when a lot of people were saying who is Alariwo of Africa? Only three people stood by me, Weird Mc, Bunmi and Ricka T. So we should appreciate and give God the glory that we are still here, relevant and we are still everywhere.” He also mentioned that new generation musicians do not respect elders.
