Nathaniel Bassey has shared a chilling encounter with a man he described as a “juju practitioner,” who allegedly tried to cast a spell on him but failed
The incident occurred on an expressway and marked the second time Bassey had met the same individual. During a worship session, he said the man knocked on his car and attempted what he called an enchantment, seemingly trying to control or influence him.
“I just stood there and laughed,” Bassey recalled. He responded by reciting Bible verses, including one that says, “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm.”
Bassey noted that the man stayed at the scene, apparently waiting for the spell to take effect. Undeterred, he cited another scripture: “There is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel,” affirming his confidence that the attempt would not succeed.
He eventually stepped out of his car and ordered the man to leave, saying, “Get out of here, you dirty devil, quick.”
Reflecting on the incident, Bassey expressed regret that he did not detain the man until the authorities arrived. He stressed that his account was not meant to glorify evil but to highlight the presence of spiritual wickedness and the power of faith.
“This was the second time the same guy came. One time on the express road, he came and knocked, casting an enchantment to influence me, commanding me to do something, but I just stood there and laughed… I’m not saying this to boast, but while we do not glorify the devil, there is wickedness in the world,” Bassey said.
