sMallZ!e ANNOUNCES THIS REFRESHING MUSICAL PROJECT IN MEMORY OF HIS LATE BROTHER #BROCKINVICTUS
After flexing muscles on his last two collabo projects (#TTSS & #XXXtheEP), sMallZ!e offers a new insight into his personal life with the release of his long-awaited indie musical project, still invictus.
sMallZ!e recorded most of “still invictus” in Lagos, Nigeria with his longtime collaborators – P A P I Flowzo & LalaThaBeatMonk; also flexing on instrumentals from HUCCI, KEYBOARD KID (Lil B’s longtime collaborator), Edoby Beats and Peazy.
Since #XXXtheEP – a collabo project with his friend, C.R.E.A.M; sMallZ!e has matured greatly, with a more refined view of life which he has found a way to infuse into his music.
In his words “I didn’t expect the whole project to turn out so well, bearing in mind I have been recording this project for over 5 years now and each time I listen to these songs, I replay certain life-changing events that inspired these songs. I really hope everyone connect to it”.
While each song on “still invictus” varies in style (all originals), each songs circles back to his late brother BROCK INVICTUS; just like ID Bragga would have it as a form of feedback “that’s exactly Brock’s flow and style”.
In one of the standout tracks – NOVEMBER; sMallZ!e raps about dealing with the loss his brother – the late BrockInvictus – and also appreciating his father’s role in dealing with this loss.
