The February 2024 Edition of the CIG industry night may have come and gone, but the memory it holds will forever linger on. As top Creative industry Practitioners turned up to join CIG in honouring the Matriarch of Nigeria’s Movie industry, International Actress, Mrs Taiwo Ajai Lycett, amongst whom were Music Legends like Emma Ogosi, whose latest works “Seyinwa” lit up the atmosphere at the Prestigious Kulture Yard, bringing Mama to the dance floor for the Upteenth time, Ireland based Esse Agesse, Spain based Nosa Marshal and South Africa based Chywhite all kept our energetic 83 year old Matriarch dancing like a young Maiden all night long.
Nollywood’s best were not left out as Top Movie Actor/Director, Fred Amata, Popular Fuji house of Commotion’s Ngozi Nwosu, Dr Otis Ojeikhoa CEO Optimal Production who presented the life time Achiever’s Award to Legend Taiwo Ajai Lycett, Ace broadcaster/Voice over specialist and Former AVOA president Ngozi Onye, Prince Zark .M. Deputy Director Programmes (NTA2) Spyder Man who walked in and took the stage by storm , Don T , JAV CIG Media , Kunle Adediji CIG Media , AIT MUSIC PLUS , BISCON TV and many other top Industry gurus turned up for Mama.
It was indeed a night of stars after Comedy Legend Koffi Tha Guru had earlier on kicked off the event on a grand note, then Co MC Manny Eke aka Music Chef introduced several CIG confirmed Artistes who took centre stage to put up electrifying Performances, all for Mama.
The highpoint of the event was when Mama Taiwo Ajai Lycett mounted the podium to be honoured by the Creative industry Group CIG, after a well articulated citation was read on her behalf by ace Actor/Mc Reginald Ofodile, the hall came to a pin drop silence as apt attention was given to her wisdom filled speech which motivated every Creative industry practitioner there present.
CIG Welfare Director, Diva Remi Obehi ensured guests were well taken care of, Capt. Emma, and many CIG in-house associates added glamour to the event, Simmy, Tony and the band kept the groove tight as usual.
CIG President, Amb. Felix Duke and his lovely wife Lady Capriz were evidently delighted at the turn out of the event, thanking everyone as they look forward to the March 2024 edition with hope filled excitement.
