Singer 9ice has said Burna Boy winning the Grammy is fulfillment of his prophecy in his song Street Credibility which featured 2Face Idibia
He said though he didn’t win it, but it has been fulfilled through his colleague, Burna Boy.
Recall Burna became the first Nigerian solo artist to win the Best Global Music Album for Twice As Tall at the 63rd Grammy  Awards in 2021.
Speaking on The Nancy Isime Show, 9ice, who had earlier boasted in the 2008 track, tackled those mocking him for not winning one in this interview.
He also explained that at the time he made the song, Grammy was not attainable for Afropop artistes.
He said, “I was talking about Grammy and I wasn’t given, Burna [Boy] got it. We [Nigerians] never get am?
“At the time I was talking about it, it wasn’t even attainable for Afropop artists at all. That’s why I said when artists sing, they can be passing messages. That’s why it’s also important for artists to be very careful of their lyrics because music is spiritual.
