Beyoncé’s mom files for divorce from husband

Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles has filed for divorce from her second husband, actor Richard Lawson, after eight years of marriage.

Tina, 69, filed the paperwork on Wednesday, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split as per TMZ.

The businesswoman and fashion designer listed the date of separation as Tuesday according to the documents obtained by the publication.

In the documents Tina also asks ‘to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support’ to Richard, 76, or her.

Tina and Richard said ‘I do’ in April 2015. They do not have any kids together.

Tina – born Celestine Ann Beyonce – had changed her name to Celestine Lawson when she wed Richard, and reportedly wants to change it back to Celestine Knowles, the name of her ex-husband.

Tina shares two kids with her first husband, Mathew Knowles, 71: superstar daughter Beyonce, 41, and singer and actress Solange, 37.

Tina — who recently got a sweet shout out from Beyonce on Mother’s Day — split from her daughters’ father in 2009. The pair were married for 31-years from 1980 to 2011.
