Former Nigerian actress Grace Charis Bassey Effah has officially joined the United States Navy and become a U.S. citizen.

She shared the news via her Instagram, posting photos and videos of herself in uniform as she marched proudly during her graduation from boot camp.

“First, all glory to God,” she wrote. “Last week, I graduated from U.S. Navy boot camp as a Sailor and took the oath as a citizen of the United States.”

Reflecting on her journey, she said, “Nigeria raised me. America challenged me. I stand today stronger and more determined than ever.”

The milestone, she noted, is dedicated to her late father, Naval Commander Asido Bassey Effah.

Grace, formerly known as Belinda Effah, starred in several Nollywood productions before relocating. She now begins a new chapter in military service, away from the spotlight.
