Popular Nigerian musician Victony has stated that he is not in a hurry to reach the level of fame of his colleagues Rema and Asake.
He made this statement in response to social media claims that his debut album ‘Stubborn‘ was not “commercially successful” because he lacked “haters” to write critical comments that would make it trend.
Victony called the assumption “dumb,” saying those pushing this narrative have high expectations for the album based on his current status in the music industry.
On his X handle, Victony wrote: “Lmao, Victony need more haters gotta be the dumbest sh*t I seen cos what’s the rush? Everyone wanna be Rema and Asake in 2 hours?”
