CAF approves 60,000 fans for Super Eagles vs Ghana clash in Abuja

Africa’s soccer ruling body, The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has permitted the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to allow up to 60, 000 spectators for Nigeria’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs second leg tie against the Black Stars of Ghana. The match which will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, March 29 and the NFF made the request after CAF initially approved 30, 000 fans for the highly anticipated encounter. The request by the NFF came after CAF allowed 40,000 fans for the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday despite reports saying the stadium was over packed for the encounter which ended 0-0.
The overall winners of the two legged tie will get an automatic spot in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
