Veteran Nigerian comedian, Ali Baba has given reasons political parties are not campaigning intensively like the previous years.
He made this known ahead of the forthcoming 2019 elections. According to Ali Baba, lack of money and inaccessibility to public funds by politicians were responsible for the decrease in adverts for this year’s election.
The ace comedian disclosed this in a post on his Instagram page.
According to him,
‘All the places politicians used to take money are with TSA.”
He wrote:
“Have you heard of any election in Nigeria that is so quiet? No. You know why because there is no money. All the places these politicians used to take money for campaigns are with TSA.
“Other places the monies are in cant be accessed because of BVN. Election is 1 month away, heavy adverts on radio and television have reduced, only posters and billboards. We shall overcome one day.”
