This painting was created during a time of immense physical pain and many long months of recovery from a spinal injury. Months of struggle to move, stuck at home howling from pain and popping opioids like candy. Spinal procedures, hospitals, horrific opioid withdrawal symptoms, not being able to work, paint or live my life as I used to with a sprinkle of
