Women at Risk International Foundation (WARIF) is a non-profit organization that was incorporated in 2016 in response to the growing incidence of sexual assault, rape and human trafficking occurring amongst children, young girls and women across Nigeria.
The first initiative of the foundation is to target the urgent need of a support system for these victims by establishing a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in Lagos. The centre opened in December and run Monday to Saturday 7am- 7pm.
On Monday, February 13 by 12pm (GMT+1), Kate Henshaw will join WARIF to speak about sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence. The conversation will hold on Twitter (@Warif_NG) and will be moderated by WARIF. Fans and friends of WARIF and Kate Henshaw will be able to ask questions as it concerns the subject of domestic and sexual abuse. Kate will also be also be speaking about her personal life, career and Nollywood.
